There is a video of Comedy of Errors available from the RSC shop. The
few sketchy details from their online catalog
(http://www.stratford.co.uk/rsc/home.html) are that it stars Michael
Williams and Judi Dench, it runs for two hours and ten minutes, and
sells for 10 pounds, 99 p.
It is a television production, directed by Trevor Nunn, based on his
staging at Stratford and London. It is very enjoyable without actually
being good. Nunn turned it into something of a musical.
It is available in the PAL format only, and will not play on VCRs in the
U.S. and Canada. This posting should not by any means be construed as a
subtle criticism of Tanya Gough's reply about videos available for
Comedy. There is no reason she should know about videos not available
in North America.
all the best,
