Hi all, this Burton Cromer is representative of today's neo-conservative
philistine, not limited to Britain and the BBC.

When has Shakespeare not been a 'money maker'?

Perhaps it's time to compile a list of all the institutions and people
who have been making money out of Shakespeare for centuries.

Stratfords in England, Canada, elsewhere.

Other towns with Shakespeare festivals.

Actors/producers like Olivier and Branagh and their film studios.

TV corporations, even Cromer's own BBC.

Publishers and printers.

Etc., etc.

For bottom line accountants such as Burton Cromer and ilk it might be an
eye-opener to be confronted with the sum total of profits from the art
of one single person.
