Subject: Gesta Grayorum?
I'm hard at work on my Study Guide for a production of Comedy of Errors,
with the Arden and my Salgado "Eyewitnesses of Shakespeare" to hand, and
so have a question or two.
Maybe it's just me, but I find the entry in Henry Helmes' book about
_Comedy of Errors_ to be pretty fantastical stuff. I was wondering if
there was any consensus on how credible the _Gesta Grayorum_ is? If any
critical work has been done on this text, a reference or two would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
