Subject: Shakespeare's Contemporaries on CD
Looks like our CD project is a tentative go, and the winner is Volpone.
Currently we're planning to record in March and release the CD in April.
We're keeping the production simple, with eight actors so far committed
to the project. Tentatively, Stratford Festival's Bernard Hopkins is
slated to play (read?) the lead.
We'd really love any advice relating to Volpone, recommendations for
text or readings, or suggestions for keeping the recording lively and
interesting. Do you prefer CD or cassette format? What are some of the
merits and/or failings of other audio books you have heard?
