Subject: Poor Yorick Update
As many of you know, Poor Yorick has been facing a number of
difficulties related to the Stratford Festival's expansion and
renovation of the Avon Theatre here in Stratford, Ontario.
We are pleased to announce that we have recently submitted our bid for
lease renewal, and although the rental increase has yet to be discussed,
our notice has been accepted and approved by our current landlords.
Furthermore, I attended a meeting of city center business people last
night, where the Festival gave a report on the Avon Theatre progress.
For the first time since this headache began, Poor Yorick has been
painted back into the picture - literally painted into the artist's
rendering of the renovated theatre.
Although the situation could still change in the next few months,
particularly if the Festival acquires the bank building on our other
flank, we are confident that we will be allowed to continue doing
business in our present location in peace and without further problems.
Again, I would like to thank everyone who expressed their support for
Poor Yorick through the past year. We would not have had the strength
to hang on without you.
