Subject: A General Textual Editor for the ISE

I am happy to announce that Eric Rasmussen has agreed to accept the
position of General Textual Editor for the Internet Shakespeare
Editions. You will all be familiar with Eric's distinguished record as
editor. In addition, his association with the New Variorum Hamlet, which
will appear in both print and electronic forms, means that he will bring
a strong awareness of the nature of the electronic medium in editing.

I shall continue to be Coordinating Editor. Eric's contribution will
both raise the profile of the ISE in the field of editorial practice,
and will allow me to focus more on the growing demands of the
Performance Database and related activities.
