Dear list,

I'd like to thank everyone for the wonderful information on
Shakespeare's burial place. I really thought his body had been interred
inside the church, behind the stone effigy of him. For shame on me for
not realising he was in the churchyard!

And, as to they purpose of the ultrasound, I do believe it was to
ascertain if there was anything hidden behind the effigy at all, whether
a body, a copy of the manuscripts, etc.

One other question, of the experts, are there any existing accounts of
Shakespeare's burial? Were there any ceremonies performed, in honour of
his literary contributions? Just curious to know how the grief was
expressed, and comments of his contemporaries, etc.

Thanks again to all for the wonderful information!

Lisa Guidarini
