Just an additional note to Jim Shaw's response to Thomas Larque.

The Shakespeare Institute's listing of upcoming productions is a
wonderful resource to know about. What I like best is that it is
organized alphabetically BY PLAY, rather than alphabetically by
geographical region or theatre name. Productions of each play are
further subcategorized to accommodate adaptations.

And if their list isn't comprehensive, I'd like to see a better. For
example, under adaptations of Hamlet, I found this:

* Hamlet: Solo with Nude Puppets and Roddy Maude-Roxby. The Lion and
Unicorn Theatre Club, London, 1 May (020 7482 0850).

Another site that might be useful, particularly if one IS searching
geographically or for non-Shakespearean plays in the UK is this:

http://britishtheatre.miningco.com/aboutuk/britishtheatre/mbody.htm

This is mostly an index to off-site links, but the site creator has
added some interesting editorial comments about most of the sites
listed. Particularly valuable are the links to Welsh, Scots, and Irish
theatre resources as well as English ones.

Cheers,
Karen Peterson
