Dear Friends,

I've been traveling, and apologize for this late reply to Graham
Bradshaw's note on the "double-time" in Othello. First, let me lay to
rest Professor Bradshaw's contention that "I don't agree with Steve; he
doesn't agree with me." Indeed, having met G.B. at a recent conference,
I can assure all that he is one of the most agreeable fellows among us.

I do try to resolve the "double-time" in a paper which will appear later
this year, and will post a reference when I have one. Perhaps we can
revisit this string at that time.

All the best,
Steve
