Subject: CASA Classes in Stratford (Ont.)

If you're planning to be in Stratford, Ontario this summer, the
Commonwealth Academy of Stage Arts is planning an 8 week program of
classes and seminars, which are all open to the public. Of interest to
SHAKSPERians are the following:

The Sonnets of Shakespeare - Our own listserv member William Sutton
leads an exploration into the sonnets through language and performance.

Shakespearean Text - lead by the Stratford Festival's Keith Dinicol

Shakespeare's Swords - Stage combat and fight director John Brogan gives
an intro to the different swords of the period and how they were used.

Scene and Text Study - with Elizabeth Shepherd

Shakespeare's contemporaries - Ina Brogan looks at the differences in
language and themes.

And Poor Yorick will be hosting a series of play readings, titles and
dates to be announced.

Lots of other fun, including British Pantos with Jonathan Howell
(Bristol Old Vic), Stage Design with the Stratford Festival's John
Leburg, Period Movement with John Broome, and more.

Info is now online at www.casarts.com . Click on the "This summer at
