Subject:        West Virginia Shakespeare Conference

The West Virginia Shakespeare and Renaissance Association invites papers
on the topic "Visions, Prophecies, Experiments and Fantasies: The
Visionary in Early Modern England," as well as papers on traditional
topics in the literature, history, philosophy, visual arts, theatre, and
music of the period 1500-1660 in England and Europe, for presentation at
its annual meeting.  This year's meeting of the Association will be held
on 19-20 April, 2002, on the campus of West Virginia University, in
Morgantown, WV.

Papers should be no more than 20 minutes long (about 8-10 pages, double
spaced).  All papers presented at the conference are eligible for
consideration for publication in _SRASP_ (_Shakespeare and Renaissance
Association of West Virginia: Selected Papers_), the annual journal of
the Association.

Deadline for submission of abstracts is 1 February 2002. Authors of
papers chosen for the conference will be notified no later than 1 March
2002.

Please do not send e-mail attachments. Conference information and
