SHAKESPEARE IN PERFORMANCE, Saturday November 3, 2001 from 9:00 am to
5:00 pm at the Lab Theatre, Room 2740, the Clarice Smith Performing Arts
Center at Maryland.

Aaron Posner, professional director, will workshop scenes from a
Shakespeare play; Frank Hildy, theatre historian, will present a
slide-illustrated lecture on the reconstructed Globe Theatre; Michael
Johnson, fight choreographer, will demonstrate stage combat; Barbara
Hodgdon will explore how modern editors shape the meaning of
Shakespeare's texts. Hardy Cook will share strategies for using
Shakespeare films in the classroom.
