Monica,

Wells and Taylor date Othello (1) 1603 - 1604, which, if correct, would
make rather a problem with the 1605 date.  The play was entered into the
Stationer's Register in November 1604.  When considering a problem like
this, one must consider that Shakespeare influenced the book you
mentioned, not the other way around.
