Subject: Performing the World Conference

I am writing to invite you to be a part of - together with friends and
colleagues from around the world - a "cross-disciplinary happening,"
otherwise known as "Performing the World: Communication, Improvisation
and Societal Practice," a conference being held October 12-14, 2001 in
Montauk, New York.

Performing the World will bring together scholars, therapists,
performers, artists, health and helping professionals, educators,
business professionals, community builders - and the irrepressibly
curious - to explore the rich potential (onstage and off) of performance
for personal and social change through conversations, panels, workshops
and performances. We all will learn from each other and create something
new out of our varied experiences.

I hope you will join us in what we believe is a "must-attend" event for
anyone who uses - or is interested in learning how to use - performance
in their life and work.

For more detailed information, or to register, please visit the
conference web site at www.performingtheworld.org or contact
