Subject: Shakespeare Behind Bars

Greetings,

Today, July 24, 2001, the Christian Science Monitor is carrying a
nine-page article on our Shakespeare Behind Bars program. We just
finished producing TITUS ANDRONICUS and will begin work on HAMLET next
month.

To my knowledge, this is the only resident inmate acting company
producing full length productions of the works on William Shakespeare in
the world.

In august the CSM's web page will continue its coverage with a slide
show and recorded audio.

In September or October, the American Theatre Magazine is carrying
another article.

For those of you interested in more information on our program OR for
those of you doing similar work in the prison systems and would like to
exchange ideas, please contact me at
