I am curious as to whether any of the contributors or interested
followers of this thread saw the Almeida production of Nicholas Wright's
*Cressida* last year (late spring/early summer 2000)?

Directed by Nicholas Hytner, the plot revolves around John Shank (Sir
Michael Gambon), a former boy player who now, in his twilight years, is
master of the boy players at the Globe in its last years (the play is
set in the 1630s).  The production got mixed reviews...I thought it was
wonderful myself, but my real point is that in the program (which alas,
I have lost) I recall a number of references to sources, both primary
and secondary, that Wright used in researching the topic.  If anyone is
