Thanks Stephen Dobbin for sharing those beautiful moments from Stewart's
MOV with us.....I also saw a similar ending with Portia crossing to
Jessica at the end and comforting her at Cambridge Massachusetts' A.R.T.
as well as Shylock and a (gay) Antonio both left outside of the grand
house at Belmont to share their isolation from the
mainstream.....fortunately I also had a class of high school students
with me(though I did NOT have a script !!!!?)...and they were moved
beyond tears at the sensitivity of the author to the banished...it
turned many of them on to WS and perhaps even was the instigation for
two of them to major Theater at University level Virginia Byrne..I am
planning to direct it next Fall with an all female cast and am very
excited about it
