For what it's worth, I entirely concur with Mike Jensen's opinion of
Douglas Brode's book, assuming that he meant to refer to *Shakespeare in
the Movies*. It is genuinely awful and Oxford should be embarrassed. I
take its appearance under that imprint, by the way, as a sign of
academic publishers' eagerness to profit from the film studies market
while suspending their usual standards. Anyone interested in seeing
just how bad a book this trend can produce should take a look at Ian
Scott, American Politics in Hollywood Film (Edinburgh UP, 2000). For
God's sake, don't spend money on it, however.
