Should this be of any remote interest to list members, as part of an
illustrated, after dinner presentation at this year's Scaena conference
in August in Cambridge, UK (advertised on this list some months ago), I
will be showing clips from a selection of silent Shakespeare films -
some fairly well known, some far less so.  I think Janet Costa is also
going to be showing some silent Shakespeare film material at the same
conference.  My contribution emerges loosely from the book I have in
preparation on the subject (which, whatever else it attempts to do, is
certainly not intended to supercede Robert Hamilton Ball's impressive
and near-exhaustive trawl...).
