Q/W/E/R/T/Y
(subtitled "Arts, Litteratures & Civilisations des Pays Anglophones") is
a French journal of English and American studies published by the
University of Pau. It is indexed in the MLA Bibliography, the World
Shakespeare Bibliography, the Annotated Bibliography for English
Studies, American Literary Scholarship (Duke University), and several
others.

The next issue (October 2001) will include articles on:

- John Donne. Poems.
- Jonathan Swift. _Gulliver's Travels_ (1726)
- Herman Melville. _The Piazza Tales_ (1856)
- D. H. Lawrence. _Women in Love_ (1920)
- Julian Barnes. _Flaubert's Parrot_ (1984)

- Organized crime and the silver screen in the United States, 1929-1951

- The idea of reconciliation in multicultural societies of the
Commonwealth
        in the 1990s (South Africa, Australia, Canada, New Zealand)

Papers may be written in French or English. Disks or attached files
(Word 5 for Macintosh or RTF) and hardcopies (MLA Style). Deadline:
Sept. 1.

Scholars interested in contributing or wishing to suggest likely
contributors should get in touch with

possible.  Submissions should be original and scholarly, they should aim
at a genuine renewal of interpretations. All submissions will be
reviewed by the editorial committee.
