Subject: Cat in the Adage
I know that "the cat i' the adage" is referred to in Macbeth (Lady M,
Act I, sc. vii), but what is the adage to which it refers?? "Curiosity
killed the cat" is the only one I can think of, but that doesn't seem
quite apropos.
Thanks in advance,
Susan
