Say what you want about McBeth burgers, but I'm all about Nurse Abbey as
Esquire gave Maura Tierney a little blurb under the headline "Maura, the
Better," in the Feb issue. Aside from proclaiming her "a killer Lady
Macbeth," and "one of the hottest Lady Macbeth's since women were first
allowed to do Shakespeare," there was this to say.
Esquire: Man, that is one randy Lady Macbeth.
Tierney: I know. There's not a lot of sex in Macbeth. It's more
implied. But when my character, Pat, needs to get something taken care
of, she just jumps her husband. She's the most unlike me of any
character I've ever played. Especially with her sexuality. I'm much
Esquire: Christopher Walken plays a detective who kind of sniffs you
out. Was he creepy on the set?
Tierney: I wouldn't say he's creepy. He's just different. He's very
specific in everything he does. It's not like he walks around with a
deer head from The Dear Hunter around his neck or anything. Although he
won't do any press for the movie, so maybe that's our one Scottish
Ahh, I feel so cultured and so trashy, all at once.
