Actually, Doug Lanier has an excellent essay on Shakespeare and radio in
Shakespeare After Mass, ed. R. Burt. See also M. Anderegg's fine book on
Orson Welles, Shakespeare, and Popular Culture.

In 'The Gramophone' magazine / The Guardian newspaper in UK, audio is
fairly regularly reviewed.

Recently a brilliant endorsement given to the new 'Lear' with Scofield
as KL, and Branagh as the Fool on Naxos.
