This is absurd.
R.A. Cantrell asked if anyone had read Hall's history.

Look, I did, though so many years ago I barely remember it. I know some
prominent Shakespeareans who mostly lurk on this list who have, but they
are no more likely to answer such a question than I was before I was
annoyed by Mr. Cantrell's answer to Takashi. Mr. Cantrell seems to
believe the answers he gets will be meaningful. They will not.
