Those interested in the CD-ROM version 3 of the OED-2 and its online
sibling might want to look at Ann Thompson's review of them which will
appear with the next issue of Early Modern Literary Studies at

Not yet -- at the moment, they're running a month-by-month password,
though I think the implication is that this may not be forever, and
eventually it +will+ need to be accessed via formal subscription.

Mind you, they don't exactly go out of their way to direct users to the
relevant URL.
