Subject: Accessing SHAKSPER
Nancy Charlton writes:
"The link that doesn't work for me, however, is the one to SHAKSPER. My
browser returns a 404 every time I've tried it. Is it there yet?"
Somehow I am a little comforted to learn that I am not the only one that
cannot access the SHAKSPER site. It fails every time for me, too.
I notice from Nancy's email address that she is an attbi user as I am.
I tried working with ATT on this but they simply say that they are not
responsible for third party websites. I do know that at least one other
attbi user has no problems with the site: Eric Luhrs, webmaster of the
site, who also uses attbi and has no problems.
So, Nancy, I guess that you and I have been chosen by the Internet Gods
for their special punishment.
[Editor's Note: Would anyone who is having trouble accessing the
SHAKSPER web site at www.shaksper.net please use Save As and save an
HTML copy of the web page with the error notice and e-mail that to me at
and I will try to figure out what the
error is. It is true that I my commercial DSL provider is ATT; however,
the site is mounted on a SUN workstation with its own IP address and
primary name server. -Hardy]
