This is a very late addendum to Brad Behrens message. I am happy to say
that a kidney isn't always necessary to view RSC archival videos. The
entire RSC archive is deposited at the Shakespeare Centre Library in
Stratford-upon-Avon where it is available for consultation by any
interested person free of charge. The archive includes videos of RSC
productions since 1982 as well as photographs, prompt books, production
records, and reviews of productions at Stratford since the Memorial
Theatre was founded in 1879, though the pre-WWII period is rather less
well documented. The videos are available only at the Centre Library and
may be used only for private study for reasons connected with
contractual restrictions. A list of all the videos that we hold will
shortly be available on our redesigned web site but in the meantime
please contact the Library for information and to book viewing time
