As someone who knew Mel Gibson as a young person, I can assure you that
he is anything but an illiterate or a lunkhead. He is an intelligent,
passionate, very well-read man with a great steadfastness and discretion
which many might emulate with profit to themselves. Plus, he is an
admirable father, and an unconventional thinker.
