Subject: The Readiness is all
Harmless fun and meaningless as these "Who was the greatest
all-time-ever" polls are, it was nevertheless strange that Fiona Shaw
did not make more capital from the modern Capitol, in her presentation
on Shakespeare, of the great speech by Sir Thomas concerning what is a
current British paranoia concerning people coming not as single spies
but in chunnels. By citing with emphasis the appropriate joined up
writing and probable author - so linking him to that other great poet of
our (and my) own age and demonstrating them all (Tom, Bob and Will)
three men for all seasons and times there might have been a few more
votes from those who pity the poor immigrant. I've a weary kind of
feeling her time had come and gone to waste.
Imagine,
Graham Hall
