I can't answer to the "oldest surviving" statistic, but you can hear
Booth online. I did a web search for "Edwin Booth recording" and found
it at:

Also, the original is at the Michigan State University's G. Robert

There are two recordings of Irving at:

There's a snippet of Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree and others, quite a few
actually, to be found at Encyclopaedia Brittanica's "Shakespeare and the
Globe" feature at:

This might not be directly helpful to you on a scholarly basis, but it
might be interesting for other readers, and it's a free preview of sorts
in case you need to track down the originals.
