Subject: Review of 'After Shakespeare'
The Christian Science Monitor today has a review of the new book, _After
Shakespeare: An Anthology_ edited by John Gross, The Complete Sonnets,
edited by Colin Burrow. (I think he is on this list, I know he's on
Milton-L and Sidney-Spenser.) His intro, says reviewer Thomas D'Evelyn,
is ". . . perhaps the best single essay on the sonnets available."
Rather than copy the article here, I'm giving the link because the web
version of the article also contains links to the Oxford Shakespeare and
to the Oxford UP Shakespeare Resource Centre, which has synopses of
several current critical studies--some of them by SHAKSPERians. In
addition, this issue of the Monitor contains the book section with a
number of other good articles.
