Subject: Love in Romeo & Juliet
Hello,
I am an undergrad about to begin a study of Romeo & Juliet, focusing on
how Shakespeare develops the relationship between the two star-crossed
lovers. Are there any critical sources that do an unusually good job of
directly addressing the idea of love in the play? Are there any
additional essays, treatises, poems, or thoughts--early, modern, or
early-modern--on love that might supplement my study? Any web sites?
Any helpful comments would help.
Thank you,
Alan
