Post-Graduate Bursary in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies
A postgraduate bursary is available for a student wishing to register
for a higher degree by research, beginning in February 2003, on the
topic of Shakespeare, childhood and performance. Drama, Theatre and
Performance Studies is located within the School of Arts, a thriving
academic community with more than 40 staff and 800+ undergraduate and
postgraduate students, which also includes the subject areas of Dance,
Music and Art. Within the field of Drama, Theatre and Performance
Studies, particular research emphases include theatre historiography,
civic performance and the politics of location, mainstream theatres and
political economy, performance, cultural politics and ethics,
Shakespeare, performance and culture, and childhood and performance.
The bursary is for three years and subject to annual review. It
consists of a maintenance allowance in line with Funding Council rates
