British citizens will be delighted to learn that Mr Jensen plans to take
up the traditional New World burden of solemnly berating the Stratford
locals for ignorance of their own heritage. His illustrious predecessors
in this regard, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Henry James amongst
them, derived great moral satisfaction from their labours. He might take
up the issue of what has happened to Shakespeare's ashes. These used to
be displayed in special receptacles in the foyer of the Shakespeare
Memorial Theatre.
