Professor Mahon and others may be relieved to know Guide Friday no
longer exists, though the name will continue to be used for a little
longer by the company that has replaced it.

I should like to dissociate the services offered by tour operators in
Stratford from the guiding services performed in the Shakespeare houses
by guides of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. These are fully trained
guides who I hope and believe provide accurate information.
