Subject: Billy Connolly at the Globe
Scottish comedian Billy Connolly gave a performance at Shakespeare's
Globe a couple of years back, bits of which are included in the 4th
episode of his television series *Billy Connolly's World Tour of
England, Ireland & Wales*. There is a nice ariel view of the complex,
good views of the stage and yard, a look into one of the dressing rooms,
and several excerpts of Connolly performing on the Globe stage. One
joke is a faux quote from Shakespeare. Apparently da Bard like to use
the F word as often as Mr. Connolly. The series in not available in
the NTSC (North American) format. My wife found her copy at the BBC
Shop in The Strand, about a 20 minute walk from the Globe. The route
via the wobbly bridge is recommended.
