This was fun. You can apparently vote twice a week, after the Tuesday
and Friday programmes.
It would surprise me if anyone sends Cromwell or Darwin e-cards,
however you might grant the importance of these disagreeable figures.
One wonders why she and--good grief!--John Lennon are numbered among the
Top 10 Britons of all time when 19th century is underrepresented; one
might expect Victoria or Disraeli. Or Drake or Raleigh or Bacon or Henry
VIII or Thomas More.
As ever, the public ". . . gives to dust a little gilt."
