Not to get too deeply into this (and constrained by a severe
prior-disclosure contract) the HARD(ee) program isn't due to come
on-line till 2006. It was bootstrapped, but glitched -- thus the
Synoptic Problem and the Oxford Fiasco (the Real Reason why SHAKSPER has
its ban).
I feel rather sad thinking about what will happen when, in 2006, "Hardy"
is pre-empted by HARD(ee). Snark or Boojum? I'm fairly reliably
informed that the Return-to-Fortran Group (inheritors of the
Clinton/Blairite Middle Way) will have solved the problems by 2012, but
that's a bit after my time.
