Subject: Cheap PAL Region 2 DVD-Rom Player
For anyone in the U.S. or Canada who wants to play region 2 (PAL) DVDs,
a relatively inexpensive way to do so is to buy a DVD-Rom player for
your computer.
There is one available for 29.95 at
http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/Product_Download.jsp?p=WinDVD
(It also plays NTSC DVDs.)
I tried it and recommend it. Works beautifully. A plus is that it
allows you to capture images.
You can download a trial version that works for five minutes at a time.
Also, it does not replace your existing DVD-Rom driver, if you already
have one.
Best,
Richard
