Certainly the plays are about identity but I wouldn't call fear the
leading characteristic of E. Ant., but rather anger. Likewise, S. Ant,
though he assumes that Syracuse is full of witches and conjurors, is
scarcely frightened for his identity, and he protects himself from the
presumed danger with drawn sword.

They don't strike me as a fear-driven pair.
