As an addictive EastEnders watcher since its first episode and hence
doubly annoyed that I missed this episode while away in the US, I'll
just add to this thread the fact that there is a little in-joke: Rudolph
Walker who plays Patrick, the character to whom the Shakespeare
reference is attributed, was for a while an RSC actor, giving, for
instance, an outstanding performance as Gower in Pericles ten years ago.
