'RSC encouraged to take centre stage in London'

The Government is putting pressure on the Royal Shakespeare Company to
find a permanent home in London.
Ministers are said to be determined that it should settle in a
relatively central location. They have been encouraged by recent
negotiations with the Old Vic theatre in South London, but want a
decision as soon as possible.
A senior government source told The Times that the experiment of taking
Shakespeare to a wider audience with A Winter
