Subject: 14.0252 Two Articles in Fall Issue of ANQ
Comment: Re: SHK 14.0252 Two Articles in Fall Issue of ANQ
Dr. Hunter (whose enquiry appears below) is a much-respected Milton
scholar, and a creditable Shakespeare critic. It is regrettable that no
one seems to have deigned to respond to his request for feedback on
these two important articles. Has ANQ become an archaism, in this
generation obsessed with issues PC, and can we talk of nothing but what
is "relevant" to those who have long since stopped *caring* whether or
not there is a text that the author ->gasp<- "intended"?
I write to draw your collective attention to his enquiry once again.
Surely there is someone among us who can provide a coherent response?
