Nothing to do with Elizabeth I but Al Magary's posting included a
mention of the conference on Feb 28-Mar 1st at the Huntington. It's the
second in a series I am organising called 'Redefining British Theatre
History' and this one, co-chaired by Stephen Orgel, is the first of two
(second next spring) on medieval and early modern theatre with much of
interest to SHAKSPERians. Speakers include Anthony B. Dawson, R. A.
Foakes, Andrew Gurr, Bruce Smith and a host more. Papers from the
conference will be published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2004. If anyone
wants more details check the Huntington's website - and I hope to meet
some SHAKSPERians there.
