Subject: Something Rotten in the Stall of Weinstein

In laying out his stall Charles Weinstein (17 Feb 2003 Subject: Reviews)
offers a wide selection of exotic fruit. As there is a whiff of
something peculiar about some varieties perhaps a squeeze would be in
order before purchase to expose the worm. Reasoned exposition rather
than unsupported cranky views would possibly tempt the punters to accept
his merchandise. As things are, what would have been an interesting
thread seems to be assuming the complexion of the Monty Python
"Argument" sketch supplemented by a background echo of "Yes. We have no
bananas". Strange fruit. Pity.

I think I'll stick to wandering round the market and filling my poke
with critical fruit of mixed persuasion to suit the particular flan I'm
baking on the day.

Critically,
Graham Hall
