May I take my little hammer to a couple of accretions of verisimilitude
that have appeared in a recent mail?

"...in the case of a bad quarto [and] the person who took down the
actors' words..."

Both these "verities" provide a suspicious clang when tested by the
wheeltappers of modern opinion. It will not take a mighty Nimrod to
discover this.
