Don Bloom ( 9 April) gets ten 'pon ten and a gold star for acronym
deciphering and eleven 'pon ten plus extra custard for bumping it up to
a pun. He gets my vote for being the man to crack the notorious M.O.A.I.
of 12N. And a pint in The Windmill for his kind remarks. But his
frustration has the whiff of hegemony. The stoned analogy is surely a
case of the pot calling the kettle a kitchen implement of colour. Rock
me no rocks, the west - east traffic has its conundrums stuffed with
arcane argot too. But we old Europeans take pleasure in poking in and
teasing out such mysteries sans frustration. Just as we do with our
All puns and allusions in the above explained for ?1 (five dollars) an
hour - and with each consultation a free holy flower.
