One possibility would be Matthew Bayfield's rather amateurish (in both
senses) <A Study of Shakespeare's Versification> (CUP, 1920; many modern
reprints) but for a corrective see D. L Sipe's <Shakespeare's Metrics>
(Yale UP, 1968). George Wright's <Shakespeare's Metrical Art> (UCalP,
1988) remains the best treatment so far.
