This reminds me: currently the Ovation cable TV channel is airing a
1-hour production of Purcell's opera _Dido and Aeneas_. Lavish
production, beautiful singing. Unfortunately I couldn't see the whole
thing when it was on last week, but enough to be sure to catch the next
one. Also, the Fiona Shaw _Richard II_ will air again this month, on
the 25th. Seems to be last Fridays of even-numbered months.

Schedules in local TV guides and at http://www.ovationtv.org

American colleagues may be interested to know how tricky it is to get on
to these courses if you live in UK. I have applied for the Prince of
Wales course at RSC at Stratford for three out of the last four years,
and failed. Could it be because I teach at a private school / college?
