Subject: Old Europe Strikes Back
Serendipity strikes in the case of the nascent thread about countries
disunited by a common language. The "Thunderer" (tweak!), 14 Apr (T2)
page 17, has a review of "The Bomb-itty of Errors" (an American rap
version of C of Errors apparently) that begins "When it comes to taking
outrageous liberties with Shakespeare, nobody seems to be bolder than
the Americans". Possibly there will be employment for some west-east
explanations/translations cropping up on SHAKSPER in the near
future........Only joking!
Well, partially. Is "hip-hop" USA or "youf" speak?
thar y' go,
Graham Hall
